For Attendees

Are your events free to attend? Do I need a ticket?

Yes! Our events are free to attend unless stated otherwise. Workshops and discussions will require a ticket due to the number of seats available.  Our cultural pop-up markets are free to attend just turn up and enjoy.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, no. Due to venue policy and out of consideration for volunteers with allergies and phobias, dogs are not allowed. The only exception is for trained assistance dogs, who must be clearly identifiable.

 

Can I bring my baby, child or pushchair?

Our cultural pop-up markets are a welcoming family friendly event, with child friendly activities and has been described as homely. Please be aware, that due to the nature of the event we do have traders selling hot food and alcoholic beverages for consumption off site. We also have workshops taking place which often have small craft items.

All of our workshops, talks and screenings have age restrictions and guideline set out by the event and/or the facilitator. 

Are your events accessible?

Yes, we strive to ensure accessibility for all. Venue-specific access details are available in each event listing. If you have specific requirements, feel free to get in touch.​

Do stallholders take cash or card at your cultural pop-up markets?

We recommend to all to accept card payments using their own portable mobile banking system, we also suggest it is advisable to take cash for when systems are down or to provide change to those who purchase with cash. 

Is food and drink available at your events?

Yes! Expect a selection of food and drink traders at our cultural pop-up markets which you can purchase from. For other events, please enquire. 

I have an allergy or food intolerance, what should I do?

Please speak directly with traders about allergens and intolerances before sampling or purchasing any item. Whilst we ask all traders to display allergen info, it’s your responsibility to inform them of any specific needs.

How do I get there?

Travel details vary by event and will be included in each individual event page. Please check the latest listing for directions and transport information.

Are there different traders at each market?

Yes, there’ll always something new to discover.

 

Who organises the events and will they be present?

Absolutely, you’ll usually find us working in various sections of our events, volunteers have designated roles, however not all of Team HatCulCon will be present for smaller events like talks or screenings.
