October is approaching, which means it’s time for Black History Month UK, a special 31-day celebration full of culture, conversations, and community. Whether you love art, music, food, or simply learning, there’s something for everyone to take part in.
This year’s theme is “Standing Firm in Power and Pride”, a powerful salute to the strength, resilience and achievements of Black communities across the UK. It’s about honouring how far they've come, celebrating those who’ve broken barriers, and looking ahead to the future with confidence and hope.
What Happens & What You Can Do
There are lots of events happening around the country. Most are open to the public. From exhibitions, performances, talks, community activities and workshops.
