In the aftermath of Hurricane Mellisa, we became aware of growing health concerns, including a surge in mosquitoes and the risk of dengue fever and leptospirosis caused by contaminated water - especially as many families were left without proper roofing and safe sleeping conditions.

In response, we launched a fundraising effort to provide mosquito nets, repellent, and protective footwear for those most at risk.

With your support, we raised £270, which we used to purchase these essential items. Our aim, was to help to protect families and reduce the risk of illness during recovery in Jamaica.

These items were sent as part of a second delivery of goods, travelling as hold luggage with Angelia Christian at the Angel Foundation UK JA to Jamaica - ensuring they reached communities quickly and directly.

Thank you for standing with us and supporting communities in Jamaica.
